Mining

Mine operations are rough on processing equipment, which also tends to be extremely oversized, but we are up to the challenge! We support operations by providing quality welding, machining, piping, and fabrication services. We refurbish or repair equipment on-site or at our 16,000 sq. foot facility in Prince George. 

Examples of services we have provided to mining companies include the fabrication and installation of pressure piping in a variety of sizes ranging from ½” to 20” stainless steel to help control selenium pollution. We’ve also assembled and erected a coal tripper conveyor that was over 700 feet long and weighed nearly 1 million pounds. Our structural steel team erected 3 new towers and completed upgrades on nearby existing towers and conveyors. 

TW Industrial Group serves as the primary structural and mechanical contractor for many operators, constantly looking for ways to improve machinery. We recently refurbished and repaired an existing apron feeder and upgraded its capabilities to handle 40% more material per hour. Work continued safely throughout the upgrade as the mine was able to use the second half for production. This was achieved by installing a large safety wall strong enough to withstand the forces from the enormous rock trucks dumping material into the hopper. TW Industrial Group completed all of the mechanical and commissioning of equipment before and during start-up.
